Ready for another Kind Of Behavior ??? Identity Mash is here!!!

Hello

We're halfway spring and the Sun is already strong. Time for some shiny Goatrance!

In the past years, Jannis Tzikas a.k.a. Filteria has built a solid reputation: known for his crazy climaxes, the man has left every dancefloor upside down. Tracks like Dog Days Bliss & Life Never Sleeps from his latest “Lost in The Wild” album have set a new milestone in Goa music!
We’re not sure, but the Stockholm-based keyboard addict may also have developed a musical split personality through his OCD for analog synths.
And today he’s presenting us “Identity Mash”, the debut album of his K.O.B. side-project: a psychedelic journey, where he has forged a new blend of intelligently crafted structures, percussive rhythms, and melodic booby traps under 303 air-raids!

The release is available on our shop here: https://suntriprecords.com/product/item/SUNCD46/

“Check In” softly introduces the “patient” to his new sonic asylum full of odd sounds and scratchy riffs, but “Folie à Deux” accelerates immediately to a manic dancefloor track that sends you under a heavy load of twisted loops, distorted leads and relentless rhythmics!

“Klecks” follows up with a rant of bubbly sounds and melodic sequences; a true heritage to Australian oldschool goa trance! Now the “Filteria” personality tries to resurface: the very electronic low end of “Grandiose thoughts” marries like a charm with symphonic layers…until K.O.B. takes over and blows you up with a downpour of 303 ‘s! Likewise, “Inculcating Ideas” is set to leave a strong mark in people’s mind: twisted, melodic, and merciless uplifting Filteria climaxes for maximum dancefloor damage!

Hold on, “Identity Mash” may be the strongest track of the album with banging rhythmics, a chaos of analog sounds and a staggering ending that acts a pliers on your mind.

Then, “Cousin It” introduces the forest part of the album with ambiances ranging from howling hypnotic to blatantly acidic !

Finally, “Check Out” concludes the lunacy, as the forest music master Battle Of The Future Buddhas joins K.O.B. on an analog rampage suited to substitute to the best treatments!

Suntrip's new compilation will be out next week : Welcome "Inti"

Finally, “Inti”, Suntrip Records’ new compilation will be released on April 20th and it contains the best modern oldschool-influenced goa-trance!

“Inti” is the name of the Sun in quechua, and like the star’s many facets, all styles of goa-trance are featured on this new masterpiece: melodic, euphoric, twisted & acidic!

The compilation opens with the debut track of Ovnimoon on Suntrip Records! This track is a powerful old school goa trance extension of his famous style… After this we introduce Triquetra two young and very talented Belgian who are showcasing their love for acidic goa trance!
The next two tracks are sinister, darkish acidic night stormers by Jagoa and Morphic Resonance! Musical solar bursts that remind us of the darker side of Flying Rhino or Matsuri Records!
But, after the night, the Sun needs to shine! The next track of Triquetra mixes melodies with a lot of 303’s, which are followed with a new rapturous track of Celestial Intelligence. Here the Macedonian duo makes the perfect transition to morning melodies!
Enter Mindsphere who does not need an introduction anymore… Acid sounds mixed with joyful melodies! The last two tracks are pure harmonic bliss: Crossing Mind delivers a super melodic and trancy track followed by the debut of Sykespico on Suntrip which give together a respectful tribute to Platipus Records… A mix between normal trance and goa! Beautiful :)

With “Inti”, Suntrip starts the spring season with a warm dose of electronic emotions!
Check the samples on the release page!

Mindsphere - Mental Triplex : Mindream

We've been pretty silent about it but our new release is about to hit the shelves...so to speak :)

One year ago we introduced Mindsphere's "Mental Triplex" a trilogy to be released in 2016 and hopefully 2017/2018.
The first part was "Presence", a pure goa-trance album full of oriental influenced and powerful uplifting tracks.

Today we are announcing "Mindream", the second opus, and this is an Ambient release! Oh and you know we' don't release Ambien music very often but we're always very serious when we do! This (very) Limited Edition album shows Mindsphere's music has both yin and yang! Through its 9 tracks we're going to let you discover, perhaps, the most impressive side of Ali Akgun's music: his deep space ambient.depressive, melancholic but also full of  hope and brightness!

Atmospheric, dronish at times, downtempo in the end, "Mindream" will take you on a journey through the elements, lands of carefully shaped landscapes where your heart will always take a central place :)

The tracklist:

1. Solitude (06:24)
2. Circle Sphere (10:21)
3. Seclusion (07:34)
4. Fate (07:34)
5. Orientelic Genetic (08:23)
6. Serenity (08:10)
7. Respiratory (08:16)
8. Reformation (08:10)
9. Far Away (10:34)

You may now head for the release page and enjoy the extracts.

"Mindream" will be available as a Limited Edition CD in our shop and Bandcamp, and in all digital platforms starting March 1st.

Happy New Year 2017!

The Suntrip team wishes you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year !
Please take care of your family and your health, these are the most precious of all!

Oooh 2016 !!

It's a safe bet to say 2016 was our busiest year. And our most emotional. That was the year 12 years of relentless efforts and shortened nights paid off. That was a year of parties and festivals, interviews, partnerships. That was the year Suntrip was given a huge shocase at Boom in addition to the increasing support we get from Connection every year, without forgetting new initiatives like Transylvaliens!
Also, we're not forgetting our audience. Every time we get a greetings messgae, everytime the crowd explodes to one of our artists' tracks, it brings a lot of positive energy and will to keep going.
Thanks guys, thanks everyone, that means so much to us that my eyes are getting wet as I'm writing this.

As a result of this work & emotional overload, we were completely worn out in November before Imba's release! But fortunately we're helped by really amazing people!

Let's make a small recap, shall we?

While writing this I wondered if we'd delivered what we'd promised last year. Well, pretty much every project that was well advanced got released. The only disappointment was not having the time to release a compilation...

There were also simple enjoyable things like that:

On the other hand, 2016 was also a saddening year in terms of peace and freedom in the world. Those key values are increasingly at risk, even in so-called developed countries. We're extremely worried and are praying to see things improve for everyone, everywhere. Please don't be passive and act, or we'll be sorry one day!

So, 2017 :)

Suntrip relentelessly aims at making people happy; so here's out contribution for 2017™:

  • SUNCD45 : Mindsphere - Mental Triplex - ??

The second opus of the trilogy, the follow-up to "Presence" is being prepared. It will contain E.P.I.C. pieces of music.

  • SUNCD46: K.O.B. - ??

Filteria's side project is reaching maturation. We had a full album in 2009, but the sound wasn't yet distinctive enough from its bigger brother project and the tracks needed to find the good balance between scando-weirdness and dancefloor-affinity. The project was rebooted in 2014 and 8/9 tracks are being chosen out of the dozen written since. We're VERY close. We even have an almost complete artwork!

  • SUNCDLE02: Astral Projection vs Filteria vs Morphic Resonance - Fiat Lux

Avi Nissim announced it last Summer. We're almost ready. The Astral Projection guys are polishing the two tracks they're going to let us release. One remix of Filteria's "Filtertraces", and one remix of SFX "Y-Salem"! To try and balance that Filteria has remixed Astral Projection's "Let There Be Light" and Morphic Resonance has remixes for "Enlightened Evolution" and "Black & White". This EP will be released in collaboration with "Trust In Trance", to celebrate their return to the scene!

  • SUNCD47/48... and/or SUNCDLE06 ?

Well, we're not sure yet. These releases will contain at least two compilations. We're ashamed to have spent almost two years without a compilation. All the more as we're in the middle of a frenzy of promo-listening and it hurts to see many very talented artsist urgently need to be properly showcased!

One of these releases will be compiled by our friend and DJ Frankie "Lord Flames", to promote the Connection Festival 2017.

Another one of these releases will be a celebration-compilation for our 50th release...it should have been SUNCD50 but...ooops...I see we're already at 52 releases including limited and digital editions, and 49 CDs without counting the Amakusa "Sakura" Mix...

ANYWAY, we have to celebrate: FIFTY releases! Had we been told 12 years ago, we wouldn't have believed it!!!

  • Other plans? Yes, Merr0w, Celestial Intelligence, Cosmic Dimension and Ethereal are still working on their new albums. Give them the time, it will come.

More?

Yes, we working on a new website. This one is becoming old and its design may make your eyes bleed. Time to change that.

By the way, TB is back is managing our YouTube channel again. We've come up with a new interview concept, expect some surprises...

We're looking forward to interact a lot with everyone whilst still focusing on our core and we're striving finding new ways to make Goatrance great again as widespead as possible.

The year will be full of interesting moments for oldschool lovers. There's the Purim Festival in Israel, and we'll be at ZNA Gethering in Portugal, Balkan Goa Fanatics in Croatia, Connection Festival in Spain, Lost Theory, Transylvaliens in Romania, and many others...

Once again, we wish you the very best for 2017. Love.

Imba - First Encounter : Meet the aliens, not Santa Claus!

Thanks for your amazing response with the RA and Crossing Mind albums!
To be honnest we were exhausted after months full of releases, parties and festivals, and we remained silent for a few weeks to recover some energy. But not before sending an ultimate release to the press...

You had it seen coming, since the page had been put online a while ago... Today, Suntrip is proud to announce the imminent release of Imba' debut album: "First Encounter"! The official release was set to December 9th, but we had some logistic issues, hence the release will be available on digital platforms next Monday and on the shelves from the middle of next week.

After three years of hard work, Imba a.k.a Nikola Petrovic from Nis, Serbia is unleashing “First Encounter”, an album packed with full power goa trance for celestial beings.

This may be a debut album but Imba is not a newcomer: he’s been producing goa trance under his own project and as part of Space Elves for 7 years. And he’s been performing throughout Europe and beyond for several years too.

With “First Encounter”, Imba experimented a lot to achieve a crossover from Goa Trance to modern Psytrance styles. Standing on top of a solid melodic base, you will hear some elements from Progressive, Fullon, Forest... there is offbeat, there is gallop, there is slide bass, there are breakbeats and lofis to give the listener the most diverse melodic sound experience!

“First Encounter”’ listeners will experience atmospheres ranging from night time and acidic to morning and euphoric, even epic.

Rendez-vous on the releaase page for the samples!

01 Imbaba & 303 Trancers
02 Hidden Paradise
03 Cosmos In Her Eyes
04 First Encounter
05 Blacklight Beings
06 Creature Of Heaven
07 Digital Non-Sense (with Ephedra)
08 After All (Lydia Delay remixed by Imba)
09 Rising Sun

Contrary to many artists trying to recreate Goa from 20 years ago Imba has headed towards modern fat in-yer-face production with endless layers of deep psychedelia meeting old school spirit!
Now Christmas is upon us, this is the perfect gift make to your friends or to yourself!
